Artemis

History

Artemis is the goddess of hunting and the forest, of birth and the moon. As the patron goddess of women and children, she has always been particularly devoted to them. She and her twin brother Apollo belong to the Olympic Gods. Artemis can be recognized by her well-known attributes bow and arrow, which she received as a gift from the Cyclades. As a perfect markswoman she always hits her target. She is depicted as the mistress of the animals, often with a hind, a bear or a boar. Set includes goddess Artemis with a wreath of flowers, her attributes golden bow and arrow and the Kerynite Doe.
